Shataka defense

20,000 men versus the last remaining Shataka forces. They had about 13,000 men to try and defend with. While their opponents, The Lanaa, would be to the gates by nights beginning. The army was small and insignificant, but they would have to keep The Lanaa back long enough for the blue riders to get to the palace. The army was here and ready, each color coded for each of their jobs. The color of their hood showed importance, and was part of Shataka culture.

Red were spearmen,
Purple were archers,
Blue were katanas,
Green were cavalry,
Black were heavies,
Orange were tanks/artillery

Purple hoods ran across the bridge, their bows shined on the evening sun. It was getting darker, hoods of all colors ran in preparation. They lined against the walls, ready for an attack. The tall and long palace was at stake with this battle. Thousands of small shimmering lights lined in the horizon. They were here.

Spearmen charged; the first attack sliced through the front lines of The Lanaa. Blood dripped and splattered, but none could be seen as it blended in with the red hoods of the spears. Once Lanaa signed shields shot up, the spears could not do much damage. Thousands of fast and swift sounds could be heard as the purple arrows landed with purpose in the armor of their enemies. The arrows were too late, the red hoods were all but gone.

Their battle-scarred faces lay upon the ground, the weapons in their hands. The second parry of purple arrows shot though the black armor.

Few hours later...

Huge chunks were taken out of The Lanaa by the orange catapult boulders. When the cavalry charged they had taken out the Lanaa commanders on the front lines. Archers had picked off all footman and some tanks. The black-hooded tanks had pushed through the middle lines and The Lanaa were forced to the last lines. Every unit had fallen except the Blue-Hooded katanas, Their swift strikes had cut through the tired and sluggish Lanaa.  But even so the line would be run through. The battle was lost.

A blue light shined in the distance, finally, the blue riders had arrived.
