"Sleep tight little child while I kill your parents."
It all began on December 25,1989 when I was picked off the shelf and brought home to some little snot nose kid who does not deserve me, but oh well.
I was wrapped up and put inside a little box in until the next day on what they called Christmas.
As the little kids ran down the stairs and looked at all the presents, I was the first to be opened.
They were so astonished they opened me and played with me right away.
Forgetting all the other presents, they went up stairs and played. It was so fun. They ate with me and had tea parties and Evan dressed me up in cute little outfits. One day when they went to the park and we had so much fun playing on the swings and the slide.
When they left, I had realized that they had LEFT ME BEHIND!
At first I thought that they would realize I was gone and come back, but NO, THEY LEFT AND NEVER CAME BACK!
And ever since that day I have been going from house to house killing little children and their parents.
"Ooo mom, can I get this one? It's so pretty."
"No, why don't you just wait till Christmas to get presents and who knows Santa may get you your doll."
"But I can't wait that long."
"Yes, you can. Christmas is three days away."
"Ok,ok I can wait."
"Well, let's go and get you home before it gets dark and you catch a cold."
"Ok,Mommy."
They drove home then the mother put the little girl to bed. And she waited till she fell asleep then she went to the store. Her mom picked me off the shelf and wrapped me up put me under the Christmas tree. The next day I would be opened.
so I waited until the next day when I would be opened and played.
As the little girl ran down the stairs and got to the presents, of course she opened me first. It's like little children had this sense that attached them to me all the time .
" Oh it's beautiful, Mommy, I love it."
" Good, I was hoping you would ."

Ski Cooper
On Febuary 11, 2017, I went on a school sking trip. I had to wake up at 4:45 in the morning to be at the high school by 5:30. We stopped in Johnsonville at the halfway point. When we got to Cooper, it was alot smaller than I thought it would be. But on the plus side, it was easy to find friends if you have lost them, going down a slope. My best friend and I were together the whole time. On our first ski trip we had to take lessons because we had never been skiing before. One of the teachers signed a paper saying that my friend could leave whenever, but on my paper I couldn't. So she and I waited there for one and a half hours, for the teacher to come and check me out. Soon came lunch and my friend and I got two little chicken nuggets, and a little container of Apple sauce! We were STARVING! By the time the teacher came to let us out, we had an hour and a half to ski on our own! That sucked. But anyway, my friend and I went down our very first black slope at Cooper. It was great. We had a plan to stop halfway through our skiing time to go eat, but we just kept on skiing. I started to get hungry, and I looked at a clock and it was about time to go! So we went down the main slope. We then found out that a boy had broken his wrist, and a girl fractured her shoulder. The bus that I was on had to get her from the hospital, but she was fine. The way back went really fast, and in no time we were back at the high school at about six or seven. I can't wait for the next ski trip coming up in a couple of weeks!

The scary day at school
Today was a great day! I went to school, I got all my work done, and after school I went to art class. It was so much fun! We got to draw and make portraits. At prime time it was very scary. It's a story no one can understand. I went to use the bathroom and then I washed my hands. People say in fourth grade that there are ghosts in the middle stall, but I don't believe that because I don't believe in ghosts. I heard a noise right after I flushed the toilet. It was loud and I was confused. So I thought to myself, "Is it true?" Is there really a ghost? I screamed in my head and ran out of the bathroom like it was haunted! I couldn't believe it! I couldn't focus in math because I was way too scared about the haunted elementary bathroom! I talked to my aunt and she couldn't believe it! Was I hearing things? No way! I had to do something. So I talked to my friends. They finally had a plan.

Rock life
I am just a rock
I have been through much.
Sometimes I get tired
of the daily repeat of my life.
So much to experience
So much to explore
So much to wonder
But only to find
I am too heavy for the wind to blow,
Too ugly to be turned into art,
Too dirty to be given as a gift,
So I will remain as a rock
And make the most of my rock life.
I have been through much.
Sometimes I get tired
of the daily repeat of my life.
So much to experience
So much to explore
So much to wonder
But only to find
I am too heavy for the wind to blow,
Too ugly to be turned into art,
Too dirty to be given as a gift,
So I will remain as a rock
And make the most of my rock life.
The date to the dance ( part 1 )
You're in language arts reading your book. You glance up from your book, and all you see is Jacob (your crush) looking at you. You quickly look back at your book. The bell rings and you pop out of your chair and get your things ready to go to lunch. You are walking to the door, and Jacob is standing in the doorway. The first thing that pops in your head is the dance this Friday. He slips a piece of paper in your binder, which you are holding in your arms. Opening the sticky note, you read it and it says meet me in the gym by the bleachers. You quickly head to your locker to put your things away. You slowly walk to the gym where he is waiting. As you are walking to the gym your friend,Vanessa, grabs you by the arm and takes you to the girl's locker room.
"Please help me. I need you to help me. I need help on a math test," Vanessa whined.
"Ok, I can't help you right now," I said.
"Why?" Vanessa asked.
Pulling out the note, you explained what happened.
"Ok," Vanessa said as she was pushing you out of the locker room into the gym.
You see Jacob sitting on the bleachers. You walk over to him.
"Hi," Jacob said.
"Hi. What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked.
"Umm, I was wondering if you would like to go to the dance with me?"
"Ya, I would like to go to the dance with you."

The Flight
"Air France 147, give takeoff code."
"T-I-T-A-N-I-C-9-5"
"Air France 147, Clear for takeoff."
"Copy that, pushing throttle." First officer, Han Anderson, was an experienced pilot, 600 hours in the air. His leader and captain, Anton Akse, was very new to flying, but was an amazing captain. This is the story of their journey on board 147, Air France, heading for Dallas.
"25, 60, 75, and... 80. Rotate." The captain slowly pushed back on the controller, lifting the nose in the air. No lift.
'Dim cabin lights," the control center of the aircraft was pitch black. "Much better, but why aren't we lifting. Put flaps to ten degrees" Han Anderson lifted the flaps, and intently, the giant Type 2 Bombarder lifted off the ground.
"Air France, 147, tune heading 198, and bring her up to 25,000." This call from the air traffic controller was the last communication these pilot would have from the outside world for a while.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome on board Air France, 147 to Dallas. It will be a long one with a total estimated time of 9 hours and 30 minuets." It was a terrible day to be flying, lighting blasting, dark as ever, poring down rain, and the turbulance was terrible as ever.
"Thank goodness we are on board the sturdiest and safest plane in the industry." Mentioned Captain Akse.
"Your telling me," the first officer responded, "25,000, I'm putting autopilot on." The long flight to Dallas was a routine flight, besides from the fact of the lighting, turbulence, and unbelievable wind.
2 hours in...
"Captain, we have a problem," stated first officer Anderson across the pitch black cabin, "The wind has been blowing at 300 miles per hour for the last hour. We are most definitely off cou—"
"Remember what we are in the cockpit of. This plane has the autopilot to keep us on course with these winds for many days."
3 hours in...
Crack! There was a loud rumbling over the aircraft.
"We are losing altitude, we might end up in the atlantic" The alarm blazed in the cockpit.
"We have been struck by lighting! Im not sure what it did but we are going down. Once again Captain Akse knew his aircraft. He pushed some flips and switches. The under-nose part of the aircraft opened up, and switch controlled thrusters shot down. The thrusters launched out fire and propelled the nose up.
"Type 2 Bombrader, we can't go down" the calm voice of the Captain soothed the first officer.
4 hours in...
The pilots were unaware, but the systems of the type 2 Bombarder were failing. The auto pilot, the ILS landing systems, and the heading system were all down. By the time the pilots saw the auto pilot were dow, they were 400 feet from the atlantic.
''Why are the systems failing, this is supposed to be a safe plane!" While the systems of the aircraft were destroyed, the auto pilot did do one thing for the pilots. The ILS heading systems is trained to find ground, not water, to land in. The aircraft smashed, scratched and on fire, into the iceberg.

Mourning
Mourning,
Blessed yet cursed with the horrendous job
of dwelling on the memories of purity
woven into a lattice of grief.
Placed upon a web of pearls and wire, doused
in reflective light that glares onto the walls
filling each surface with patterns.
Each breath taken is heavy and pained, yet
brings the lungs euphoria and the sense
of purity.
Your heart burns,
with each thump, throb and pulse bringing
a light crackle to the ear.
Doused in salt and anguish,
drenched in tears and fear.
A hunger to devour ones own heart
develops, it grows like a cancer.
Left with nothing but
Mourning.

Skiing
On February 18, 2017, I went skiing with my friend and her family. I had to sign up for the lessons because it was my very first time skiing. Before we left we got all of my stuff and then on our way up to her house to get their stuff we stopped at the gas station. We went to the gas station because we wanted a few snacks for the car ride because it was about two hours. Then we went to go get the rest of their stuff, but her dad was not ready quite yet, so we just went to Wendy's to get dinner. We were done eating and we went back to the house, packed up everything and we were on the road!
The whole car ride I was in pain because I had just gotten my braces tightened and I had sore on my lip. Finally, we arrived at the hotel we were staying at and unloaded everything, got our swimming suits on and went swimming. We went to the pool, then didn't want to swim, so we got into the hottub. Then we got to hot, so we went to the pool and swam for a bit. Later, we went to our room and took a shower, braided our hair, and went to bed.
We woke up the next morning got all our layers on and we went to eat breakfast at "Pancake House!" Afterwards, we were on the road to the ski resort. It was about a 30-40 minute drive to Monarch.
When we got there I had to take the lessons and that was so boring because before the lessons her mom showed me the main stuff on "The Bunny Slope." The whole time I was kinda being a "show off."
Finally, the lessons were over and I actually got to ski by myself with my friend! We went down green and blue slopes. I also went through the trees! That was fun, but very hard and I fell ALOT!
All in all, the ski trip was amazing and I had a lot of fun...thank you for taking me!

Bathroom Breaks for Dogs!
Did you know airports are making bathrooms for dogs?
As of August, 2016, federal regulation requires airports that service more than one hundred thousand passangers a year to establish at least one relief area for service animals inside each terminal.
The bathroom has to be wheelchair accessible and close to airline gates.
An inside dog bathroom has fake grass and a fire hydrant.
An outside dog bathroom has fake grass, a fenced in area, and a fire hydrant.
I think this idea of bathrooms for dogs is a great idea, because dog owners don't have to stress about getting off the plane and going outside to let the dog get air, potty, and run. Then running back to your airline gate. This takes off more stress from dog owners, because you can walk to a dog bathroom and walk straight back to your gate without a hassle.

Claustrophobia
The crowd, struck with grief, watched as my polished coffin was settled six feet under. My inheritors babble while watching the dirt begin to pile atop the tan surface. They didn't know. I didn't either, until it was too late.
My eyes crack open, my mouth dry and the atmosphere thick. I pull my head up and my neck is stiff. Blam! I feel a bruise begin to form on my forehead. It was so terrifyingly dark. I feel my chest heave as the hyperventilating commences.
"Hello? Hello!?" I wail. I begin to scream and kick, the confined walls trapping me. The air thickens and I panic more. I feel around. The velvety case is softly caressing my back. Racking my brain I think of what had happened.
"Where am I?" The question freely escapes my lips, "Who am I? What's happening?" I inwardly cringe at my hoarse voice and the raw feeling bubbling up in my throat. My thoughts darken as I think of the horrific thriller movies I've watched.
Kidnaped? No, no. A killer thought dawns upon me.
I've been buried alive. I feel my chest rise and fall at a much quicker rate.
"Help! God, someone! Anyone! Please," my voice cracks and I tremble. My screaming and quick breath intakes makes the air feel thicker as dread grabs my intestines and curls it into a tight knot. The air was running low. I was going to suffocate. I jut my legs up kicking the roof of the casket, I had to break free. I don't wanna die. Bile rises up into my mouth and I cover my lips so I don't vomit. It's too thick to break.
I'm going to die. This can't be happening. This never happens. I've been so lucky. Bad things don't happen to me. I stare blankly into the eternal darkness, sobs crawling out of my mouth like cockroaches. I mutter prayers, but I know it's over. I can barely get wind inside of me. My panic attack wasted so much precious air. I hate myself, my family. Why did they get this kind of thick wood, the wood that would encase me for centuries to come. The air becomes even denser and I feel myself choke slightly. The walls feel like they collapsed on me as every breath I have ever took in my whole life is strangled from me. I feel my arms mindlessly push the walls, trying to make the walls back away. Give me space to move and gulp down as much oxygen as my dying lungs could ever wish for. I took the ability to breathe for granted. My eyes go wide and I let out one final gasp. One final plead. My last words...
"Help... me..."
The world spirals into a meaningless pit of blankness.
Claustrophobia- the irrational fear of being in a confined space.

Gadyar and Ed walked into the corner and started conversing. Zane couldn’t hear what they said, but he got the feeling that it wasn’t good. After a while, they came back and took him upstairs like nothing happened. They entered a big, empty room. That’s when it happened again. He had a flashback to his dreams. They were going to do a test of magical ability. This must have been what the conversation was about.
“We’re going to test you for magical ability,” Gadyar said, right on cue. “This normally doesn’t happen, but because of your performance in the vision, we think it’s necessary. If you pass this test, you will forgo all others.”
“What will we do?” Zane asked even though he had a good idea already.
“You will lie down on the ground and focus on a weapon of your choice. It can look like whatever you want and be whatever type of weapon you want. If you are magical enough, then the weapon will appear and never leave your side. Half wizards are rare, so a summoning hasn’t happened in over a millenia. However, you will still be trained with this weapon, and will never use any other.”
Zane followed the instructions as the dream faded from his memory. When he attempted to picture the weapon however, he was at a loss. He tried to remember what he pictured in the dream, but he couldn’t. He had no training in fighting whatsoever, so he had no preference. He decided he would just close his eyes and let the image come to him. Numerous images flashed through his mind, but none seemed right. Until a image of a highly ordained sword appeared. It was made of a shiny metal that he intuitively knew to be stronger than any mortal one. The hilt was inlayed with all sorts of gems. He got the feeling that this was an ancient weapon designed for him specifically. Suddenly, he heard a voice in his head.
“You can sense the power?” The voice intruded. It sounded more ancient and wise than anything he had ever heard. He didn’t want to speak aloud, so he attempted to answer with his mind.
“Yes,” he thought, and was startled when the voice answered.
“I thought you might. I sent this image of the blade to you to see if you could recognize it. The tests Gadyar had planned for you will prove nothing if you can produce this blade. It has been lost to the ages for uncountable eons. Since before the great war. You must focus on the image, and then say the words I send to your head. Understood?”
“Yes, but who or what are you?”
“I can’t tell you now, but all will be revealed in due time. After Gadyar accepts you, you will go to train with the soilders. I will tell you what to do from there when I contact you again.”
Suddenly, the presence vanished. Zane was left with only the image and the words, alva cal. He attempted to follow the instructions, so he focused on the image until he could resolve it in great detail. The hilt was carved with engravings of dragons. The blade itself had ilegible characters older than time itself. He felt the power of the blade rush through him as he spoke the words.
“Alva cal”
His eyes snapped open against his own discretion. A blinding light flashed through the room. The light went out. The only thing left in the room, was the sword and Zane. He looked around, but saw no one. He was quite startled, but shook it off, walked over, and picked up the sword. He felt the incredible power of the sword wash through him once again. He got the feeling that he shouldn’t carry the sword out in the open, so he sheathed it. He walked over to the door, but before he could reach it, Gadyar walked in. Gadyar failed to notice him, and walked into the room along with Ed.
“Where did he go?” Gadyar asked.
“The magic might have ate away at his body completely,” Ed responded.
“Well, I guess that means no cleanup.”
“Yea, but I had such high hopes that he would be the one.”
That’s when Zane walked out from behind the door.
“What are you guys talking about?” he asked.
“What are you doing here?! We thought you died. It’s been over a day.”
“What do you mean. I pictured the weapon, and summoned it.”
“The feat of magic must have drained you, but if you summoned it, then let us see it.”
Zane set his hand on the hilt of the sword, and once again felt the power rush through him. He drew the blade.
“Is that—”
“It is.”
“But it can’t be. That weapon is just a legend.”
“You said I could picture whatever weapon I wanted.”
“Yes, but...but let me hold it. Verify its authenticity.”
Zane sensed that Gadyar had bad intentions, and allowing the blade to enter his hands would be a bad idea.
“I’m afraid I can’t do that,” Zane said.
“Why not. I am the one who will host you. Train you. It would be common courtesy!”
The voice came to him again. All time froze, and he was left with only the voice. “I was wondering when you would wake up. It has been a day as they said. You must not allow Gadyar to get the weapon at all costs. He will use it to take over all of Algasia. I can’t believe I didn’t see if before. A dark power has corrupted his mind, and he will stop at nothing to win. He is the great evil you have come here to destroy. Take Ed. He swore an oath to protect you, and he will. You must learn how to use the sword. As I’m sure you guessed, it is not an ordinary sword. You must figure out most of the secrets yourself, but I will tell you this. The sword will guide your movements, and requires very little training. Let it take hold when you fight, but maintain power over it or you will corrupt. Now I will unfreeze time. You must seek me at the castle you saw in the vision. Ed will know how to get there. Now go.”
Time snapped back. Gadyar started getting more and more angry.
“Give me the sword!” he yelled.
Zane charged at him and slashed. He felt the sword guiding his movements as the voice had said. But Gadyar seemed invincible. He would not go down. Zane gave up with the fruitless attempt, and snatched Ed.
“Go, GO!” he screamed.
He led Ed outside the house, where they were greeted by a group of soldiers. Zane attacked with the sword like there was no tomorrow. He slashed, stabbed, parried, and dodged. The soldiers put up little resistance. Zane and Ed ran out of the town and down the road. They didn’t stop until they reached the cover of the forest.
“What happened?” Ed asked, gasping for breath.
“Gadyar has been possessed. He is the evil I am hear to fight. He wanted the blade. We need to get to the castle.”
“You’ll have to be more specific.”
“The one we saw in the vision. Someone there contacted me, and told me to come there. They also told me about this sword, and Gadyar.”
“Okay. Now calm down. We can make camp here for the night, and continue to the castle in the morning. I will also try to train you in magic as we travel, but for now, have a good night’s sleep. You’ll need it.”
Zane made a bed out of some pine needles lying nearby and was soon asleep.

Making decisions
When making decisions, I am not the best.
When I need to choose something such as food, clothes, etc.-
What I usually do is I
pick two things,
check the prices,
and choose the cheapest one.
I like to do that so my mom won't get angry.
But when there are more than two, that's a different story.
Having more than 10, that's a nightmare.
When people see me they think, what a strange, strange kid.
When I need to choose something such as food, clothes, etc.-
What I usually do is I

My people
do not dwell
on the past.
Some of our people will fall
into the
blackness
and they will feel shame
in their
remorse and the
rest will forever die

when i figured out how make my poster with no notes.....
I lost my notebook for my social studies project. I was very scared mainly because I needed that notebook to put as much info as I could in it. I talked to my friend. I looked at her house and nothing. I couldnt find anything! It was over, no notes, no project. Thinking, thinking, thinking, and I got it! I know what I'm going to do now! What were the notes talking about in the religions? While I was writing I couldn't stop! I wrote more notes! Writting more on my poster, I completed it! Ever since then I always remember. Never take your school work to your friends house!

Look Past What Has Never Been Seen
To discover what one wishes, one must look at all things with enough love and attention to discover in them what has never been seen before.
To concentrate more then ever, to heed on what you believe is love, worship, and passion. Listen beyond the sound and unleash what has not been heard.

When I first saw this photo, all I saw was just a boy and his dog! If you really look past just the dog and boy, you will see that they really understand each other and can't go long without being alone. Normally dogs don't "hug" you like that, all my dogs do is jump and bark. What I really saw was that the boy was gone longer than the dog wanted. The dog can only go so far, but somehow the dog managed to reach far enough. When I see this...I see love between two totally different living beings.
RAMBLING AUTOBIAGRAPHY
I was born in Grand Junction.
Not a penny to my mom's name, so I was forced to live with my grandmother for three years.
Then I finally moved back with my mom and we moved to Manitou Springs. She enrolled me in a school and I thought it was very great, but it was not.
After a few months people started to bully me and it was worse at home. My mom started drinking every night and not coming to home and waking me up.
And I got bad grades cuz I got no sleep.
Finally, it got to the point to where I could not take it anymore. I had to find a way to release the pain.
So I sat in the bath tub and cried it all out.

Expiration Date
Dear World, 7/16/17
Yesterday I discovered the feeling of mortality.
I, Joanne Brook, was supposed to die yesterday.
I wish immortality was not as frightening, and
I wish I could indulge in the long prosperous
life it would entail. Though it seems fear is my
weakness at this point. To anyone reading this,
I am not a witch, in fact, the thought makes me
cringe. I was simply a victim of fate. I do not
know the cause, but as it stands, I am dead.
I wonder if my memory will live on? and If
I may see it. I plan to retreat. To leave humanity
behind, and voyage into the unknown. I am not
coming back. I am not afraid...
Joanne read over what she wrote. Each swoop of cursive letters seemed wobbly, and uncertain. Her blank stare burnt into the paper. She questioned what her life would become. What she would do. She hasn't told her friends, co-workers, anyone. She has been locked away.
Where would she go? It's not exactly normal for a dead woman to rent an apartment. She buried her face in her hands. Starting to sob.
Had fate F-ed up? Why HER?!
Joanne was on the verge of screaming. Silent sobs rang through the empty house.
Why did everyone meet their proper fate, but not HER?
She didn't fear death; she feared life. Death was a loss of burdens, pain, strife.
She was pained with the thought of living. Not living like a normal person, she was living like a captive animal in the shadows.
The letter on the table gained dark spots as tears slammed onto the paper. Parts of the shaky cursive smeared.
Joanne separated her face from her hands, both having the sticky residue of tears. Her puffy red eyes glared at her digital clock. The bright green numbers were blinding. 4:03 am, it had been four hours. Her whole body trembled. Her throat was hot; it felt like she had swallowed a mouthful of blazing marbles.
Her chest throbbed.
Her eyes burned.
Her hands shook.
And then she was numb.

Life's hard decisions
He did it for himself...
So sorrowful, the saw in hand. Remembering when he was young and made fun of that one man, that one man he'd soon become. It was over, he was freed. Legless, but free, he had become an amputee.
She did it for herself...
To prove them wrong, she ran so far away. Not a goodbye or farewell. To leave the sheltered home she grew up in, to learn the true suffering of the real world. To understand many points of view. And that was the decision she would soon begin to rue.
They did it for themselves...
They as in us, we do it for ourselves. Everyday, thinking about how it will help us and rarely think about the aftereffect or what we do to other people. Such a simple concept we think we do, but we don't. Decisions are like rivers flowing free, each bends consequences affecting me.

Utter hopelessness
Inward
I fell within myself,
and nothing could pull me out.
Lost inside the sorrow of my soul.
Unable to see the light, unable to see the dawn,
to feel, to hope.
Falling deeper and deeper into an urge to desire,
to love.
Fragments of the past flicker back into my imagination
continuing to make my mind hazy.

what would I grab in a fire
What I would grab in a fire is my guinea pig because he means a lot to me. I would not just let him die in a fire. He also is a calm guinea pig. Also I have never had a calm guinea pig, and it would be really sad to lose him. If I had time I would get him out of my house as fast as I could. That's what I would grab in a fire. Of course I would like to grab all of my guitars and CDs and tapes that are vintage. Some of those are replaceable to an extent, but my guinea pig is not replaceable.
Fantasy Novel Chapter 1
Hi guys. While waiting for you to comment on Silvius' Story, I was working on a fantasy novel. Here is the first chapter. I would love feedback.
___________________________________________________________________________
An ancient, all-seeing eye snapped opened in the dark cave. Servius had awoken from his millennia-long slumber. His rider was coming.
Zane awoke in a cold sweat. He had had that dream again;the dream he had been suffering for the past year. He wondered what it meant, if anything. It was always the same story.
He began the dream in a gloomy chamber with a single torch in the middle. Around the outside were thousands of pathways. He always picked out a different one, as he remembered what was down the others. However he still died in many ways. Down most of the hallways, he died in combat. In others he died to dragon fire. In still more he fell or was knocked off the back of his own dragon. But no matter what, it was always the same result. He died.
Zane walked out of his bedroom and down to the bathroom, where he splashed cold water on his face. He couldn’t figure out why he kept having the dream. He had talked to his dad, who just said that it was nothing. He had even spoken to people about how to stop having the dream, but those people merely said the dream meant something. He debated about the dream a bit. This time he had been walking up to a huge castle before he was struck by lightning, even though there wasn’t a cloud in the sky! He walked out of the bathroom, and started getting ready for school.
By the time he got to the bus stop, the dream was still bouncing around his head. He sat next to his friend Sam on the bus.
“Have that dream again?” Sam asked.
“You betcha. I can’t figure it out.”
“What happened this time?”
“It started out the same, so I went on an awesome adventure like most times. This time I died to a phantom lightning bolt.”
“That sounds astonishing. Not the dying part I mean, but the adventure part.”
“I know, but dragons don’t exist, and we aren’t in the medieval ages anymore. I merely wish I could stop having it.”
“Yea. At least we have something to think about during the lecture today.”
“That’s always fun. Mr. Denholm has the worst lectures.”
They promptly moved on to lighter topics, and soon they arrived at school. As they predicted, Mr. Denholm gave a boring lecture, and Zane thought about the dreams the whole time. He mostly thought about how to stop them, because they were interfering with his sleep schedule. After class he was talking with his friends in the hallway, and Sam brought up the dream once more. That led to Zane explaining his dream, and then another friend, Lukas, said he might be able to do something about it.
“About that,” he said, “my uncle-in-law just recently returned from his trip. He is an expert at figuring out dreams. He could help you at least figure out why you keep having this dream, if not stop it.”
“Excellent,” Zane responded. “Can I come after school?”
“Sure. I’ll let my uncle know.”
The remainder of the day passed uneventfully, with the thought of finally figuring out the dream filling his head. He knew it was likely false hope. He had been to countless others, and was still no nearer to figuring it out. But even so, there was that tiny part of him that thought this might be the time. Time appeared to slow down as the end of the day drew near, but eventually the bell rang. He met up with Lukas after school.
“My uncle’s house is walking distance,” Lukas told him. “Let’s hike there.”
They walked down the road, talking about many things, but most notably the dreams. Before long they reached Lukas’ uncle’s house. His uncle greeted them at the doorway.
“Welcome,” he pronounced. “Come in. We have much to talk about. My name is Eduarow, but you can call me Ed.”
“Has Lukas told you about my dreams yet?” Zane inquired.
“Not much. Only that you were dreaming of going on adventures in a fantasy land. I need to take you to a private room where we can sit and talk about the dreams.”
They walked upstairs, and entered Ed’s office.
“Stay out here Lukas,” Ed said. “I need to talk to Zane in private if we are to figure out this dream.”
They walked inside the room, and it was surprisingly bare. There was only a small wooden table with two chairs. The walls were pure gray, as were the ceiling and floor. It was hard to tell where the corners of the room were. They walked over and sat opposite at the table.

“Tell me about your dream,” Ed commanded.
“Well, it starts out in a gloomy chamber with tons of passageways around it, and down each of those passageways is a different adventure. But I die down all of them.”
“Have you tried them all yet?”
“Not even close.”
“Okay. There is something I need to tell you. Don’t interrupt me, no matter how unbelievable it is. Understood?”
“Yes.”
“The place you are dreaming of is a real place. It is a world that exists alongside yours. It is that world that is an inspiration for almost all “fantasy” books. The authors of those book all scratch the surface with their subconscious minds. The realm they see is called Algasia. It is a realm of magic and adventure. The place you start your dream is called the chamber of the oracle. In that chamber, you can see all the paths you can take in Algasia.”
“Okay. Umm, I have tons of questions.”
“Fire away.”
“How do you know all this? Why did you call it my world? Why am I in the chamber of the oracle? And most importantly: Why aren’t you in an insane asylum yet?!”
“Calm down, Calm down. I know that it sounds crazy, but to answer your questions I’ll need to take you way back....
Our world started in a strange way. It was inhabited by nothing but dragons. They warred among each other with their unfathomable magical abilities. The most powerful of them could take the shape of a human to concentrate their power. The problem was that it made them weaker. So the true wizards created a whole race of humans to inhabit the world, thinking they could hide in the masses. But the wizards made one mistake. They used too much magic. Some of the humans inherited the extra magic, and they came to be known as half wizards. These half wizards were hundreds in number, and they fought against the dragons who turned their world into a wasteland. The wiped out the dragons, and slowly half wizards filtered out of the population. Now a half wizard is a rare sight, but people soon discovered trans-dimensional gateways that led to this world and others. One of the trans-dimensional gateways slowly solidified into the chamber of the oracle. A prophecy came floating out of of the portal at the last second. This prophecy said that one day a dragon would return. He would be would be one of the ancients who created our race. He would fight alongside us with a person from another realm to help defend against a great evil. It said that we should watch the gateways until someone dreamt of the temple of the oracle. They would come to us and we could take them into our realm. I was appointed the warden of this realm. That is all I know.”

“How can I be sure you’re telling the truth? And even if you are, I can’t do all that.” Zane inquired while looking around for hidden cameras.
“I’m not sure either. There is no immediate threat, and you seem quite young. But nevertheless, I can show you Algasia. That is why this room is so barren. It exists trans-dimensional.”
“Okay,” he humored, “let’s go.”
Suddenly everything went dark. 10 seconds later the lights came back on. The room looked exactly the same.
“Wowww, the lights went out. That’s amazing.”
“Be sarcastic if you want, but let’s go out the door. Shall we.”
Zane trudged out the door and was surprised to walk out into bright light. He looked around and noticed he was standing on a hill. There was a large sign post at the base of the hill, and a small village situated around. He saw a couple horses on the horizon and the road was not paved. He was obviously not in modern times.
“Now do you believe me?” Ed said snapping Zane back to consciousness.
“Yea.”
“Let’s head down to town. We need to introduce you to everyone and get you trained at the soldiers' camp. You should also pick up some gear. I’ll help you.”
“What about Lucas. Won’t he come looking for us?”
“I forgot to tell you. We can return to the instant we left no matter what. Just don’t die and you’ll be fine.”
Zane suddenly had a huge flash of deja vu. This was where all the dreams started. He didn’t doubt anything anymore.
“Then let’s go.” He responded.
They walked down the hill and Ed schooled him on the currency along the way.
“Our currency is unlike yours. We use things of actual value. Most people use copper coins, 10 of which equal a bronze. After that 25 bronze is a silver, and 50 silver is a gold. You’ll need to know this so you can buy supplies. I have plenty of money so I will give you some before we part ways. For now, I’ll cover your purchases. You will need a weapon, a horse, and some other things. We will need to figure out what type of warrior best suits you. To do that we can go to the soldier training camp. First though I’ll need to talk to the lord of this town. Tell him the prophecy came true.”
They reached the village and were stopped at the gate.
“State your business,” The voice at the top boomed down.
“I am the warden of Earth. My name is Eduarow and I have the prophesied one. I will need to talk to the lord. What is his name these days?”
“I apologize, you haven’t come to town in centuries. I didn’t recognize you. The lord’s name is Gadyar. He will be happy to talk to you right away.”
“We will also need accommodations while we buy supplies. We would prefer them to be in the soldiers' camp so Zane here can learn.”
“That can be arranged. Welcome to our town.”
They walked through the majestic gates and were greeted by another guard. He took them to the residence of Gadyar where they waited outside of the small tower for him to be ready to see them. After what seemed like hours, Gadyar walked out the door.
“Welcome back to town, Ed. I see you have the prophesied one. Hopefully he’s not a mistake like the last two. Come in. Let’s test Zane.”
“Hold on a second,” I recoiled. “What mistakes are you talking about?”
“Ed didn’t tell you? There have been two others that were said to be prophesied that failed the test. One of them was from earth.”
“What do you mean by failed?”
“Killed. Now let’s go on in. It’s a long test.”
“Wait! What? You just expect me to go along with a test that could kill me. You must be crazy!”
“I’m afraid you really have no other choice. I thought Ed would have explained this to you. You can’t enter Algasia if you don’t take the test. Our universe is not for sight seeing. Now you can take the test or be executed.”
“You can’t do this to me! I have rights!”
“Which you waived by entering Algasia. I’d like to see you take a different dimensional being to court. Now take the test for a chance of dying, or die anyways!”
“Fine.”
Zane reluctantly trudged into the house and they sat him down in front of the fireplace.
“This part won’t hurt a bit. We will perform an ancient ritual that will show your most beneficial future to Algaisia.”
Servants carried a bowl over to the fireplace and sprinkled the dust in it all over the logs. Then they took out two impossibly clear crystals and struck them together once for a flurry of sparks. One of the sparks caught the wood into a bright purple flame. The flame then started to change colors, flickering between green, yellow, red, black, purple, and invisible. Gadyar started chanting.
“Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar.”
Ed joined in and Zane saw the colors flicker faster. He also felt inclined to join in, and soon the words overpowered his will and he joined in. Now all three of them were, faster and faster, chanting the words.
“Ofel kadyar”
The fire blazed hotter than ever and took a deep shade of black.
“Ofel kadyar”
The fire sunk to the logs and disappeared.
“Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar”
The logs started shimmering.
“Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar”
The shimmering hardened into a image.
“Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel kadyar Ofel—”
Suddenly, the air of magic in the room vanished. The image became one of Zane walking along a meadow. There was a huge castle wall in front of him. He recognized this scene. This was where he was right before he got hit by lightning in last night's dream. It seemed like years ago. This time though, the bolt came down and was simply deflected by a wave of Zane’s hand. He kept walking in spite of being pelted by deadly objects, and reached the wall. He walked into the castle and the image stopped.
“Wow!” Gadyar exclaimed as the vision ended.
“Yeah,” Ed replied. “Turns out our little friend here is a half wizard. I don’t seem to recognize that castle though."
“I did,” Gadyar replied. “It was the castle of Servius-The Creator of Man.”
