LEFT BEHIND

"Sleep tight little child while I kill your parents."

It all began on December 25,1989 when I was picked off the shelf  and brought home to some little snot nose kid who does not deserve me, but oh well.
I was wrapped up and put inside a little box in until the next day on what they called Christmas.
As the little kids ran down the stairs and looked at all the presents, I was the first to be opened.
They were so astonished they opened me and played with me right away.

Forgetting all the other presents, they went up stairs and played. It was so fun. They  ate with me and had tea parties  and Evan dressed me up in cute little outfits. One day when they went to the park and we had so much fun playing on the swings and the slide.

When they left, I had realized that they had LEFT ME BEHIND!
At first I thought that they  would realize I was gone and come back, but NO, THEY LEFT AND NEVER CAME BACK!
And ever since that day I have been going from house to house killing little children and their parents.

"Ooo mom, can I get this one? It's so pretty."
"No, why don't you just wait till Christmas to get presents and who knows Santa may get you your doll."
"But I can't wait that long."
"Yes, you can. Christmas is three days away."
            "Ok,ok I can wait."
"Well, let's go and get you home before it gets dark and you catch a cold."
             "Ok,Mommy."

They drove home then the mother put the little girl to bed. And she waited till she fell asleep  then she went to the store. Her mom picked  me off the shelf and wrapped me up put me under the Christmas tree. The next day I would be opened.
so I waited until  the next day when I would be opened and played.
As the little girl ran down the stairs and got to the presents, of course she opened me first. It's  like little children had  this sense that attached them to me all the time .

" Oh it's beautiful,  Mommy, I love it."
" Good, I was hoping you would ."

She opened me up and played for awhile then got tired and fell asleep on the floor.
When  she went  to sleep,  I got up and went to the parent's room and tried to kill them!,  but they woke up and screamed.  I didn't now what to do because this had never happened to me. I always got in and out with killing their parents and then the kids,  but oh well. So  I talked and said, Your  going to die
tonight. They  got up and tried to hit me, But I ran away.
Well  that happened,  so now I have to fight to kill them.
I went  to the basement,  and made a noise so they would follow it because humans are stupid and don't now how to live and not follow what ever the hell is in the attic or the basement.
Any oh,  their coming so I had better get ready to kill them.
Wham!  I killed the mother and of course the dad got really sad and tried to shot me in the head. But  the thing is that I am a stuffed toy so he can't kill me with a gun so then I killed him and left  was the kid so I put on a mother voice on  and called the little girl down stairs to kill her and she of course she came down  stares and then I killed her and I felt so rejoiced so I left and whent shuching for more death.

"Hon? Wheres the milk?-"

-Jessica asked, the door to the fridge slightly agape. Her question was met with silence. There was only one possible culprit for the horrid act of milk theft.

"Natalie!" Jessica sneered. Provided that she was met with more silence, Jessica closed the fridge and walked over to the dormant hiding place of her roommate, the couch. She leaned over the back of the shag sofa. Her gaze met her roommates mass of dirty blonde hair. Flipping up the thick mound of hair, Jessica saw the sleeping face of her suspected culprit.

Jessica gently flicked the sleeping woman's nose. "Natalie?" Jessica cooed, letting the fluffy hair fall back onto her roommate's face. The sleeping woman shot up.

"What?! Who's there?!" Natalie woke with a start, hair covering her line of sight, and hands in a fighting position. She shoved the heavy thick mass from her eyes and looked at Jessica.

"Woah there soldier, just wondering where the mi-" Jessica stopped mid-sentence when she saw the red whole milk cap and jug on the coffee table.  Here face sunk from a smug grin to a distaste-filled frown. She exhaled, "Why is the milk on the table?"

"I was eating cereal last night, I guess I passed out before putting it away. Sorry," Natalie's calm tone made Jessica grimmace.

"If that's the case, why does our coffee table lack your filthy dishes?" Jessica pinched the bridge of her nose after being met with a look of confusion. "You know... like a bowl?"

"You need a bowl?" Natile asked titling her head like a confused puppy.

"You do need a bowl.... how do you eat cereal without one?!" Jessica was flabbergasted the common knowledge her homely companion lacked. "Know what, never mind, just give me the milk." Jessica snorted.

"Suit yourself." Natalie handed the milk over along with the cap.

"Thank you." Jessica grabbed the bottle her nose being met with a rancid odor. It had been out all night in the summertime, how had she not expected it to be spoiled? The bridge of her nose curled into a cringe. She involuntarily capped it, feeling her stomach turn in revolt. Natalie again looked at her confused until her actions dawned on her.

"Oh lordy, I am so so sorry," Natalie smiled shamefully.

"It's fine..." Jessica walked into the kitchen and dumped the rotten liquid down the sink. She rinsed out the jug and sighed. "Why did I need milk anyway?" She asked herself before her nose was met with another scent. It beckoned her attention over to the mug on the counter,  filled almost to the top with warm, black, coffee.

...but I went with him anyway. I instantly became an eagle, but Grudle seemed to stall.

"It has been a long time since I have used my power." he said, "I need to get a feel for it again. Pretty soon I should be able to use magic without effort."

That's when I realized that magic had, in fact, become easier. I don't even think I said anything the last couple times I morphed. Before long Grudle was an eagle too, and we took off into the valley. We flew for a very long time until Grudle set down. I joined him.

"We should rest here," he told me. "It's a long hard flight over open ground to the wizard training area. If we stopped there we would instantly be found by the king's many scouts."

We stopped there and made camp. He didn't know fire magic and wanted me to practice some more, so I lit the fire. It was the first time I summoned fire since the battle, but it was very easy. Then we went out and hunted for food. With our combined magic, we easily brought down a deer. We brought it back to camp and ate dinner. Grudle was smart and smoked some deer so we could have food on our way. Eventually, we went to sleep, ready to fly in the morning.

I woke to Grudle shaking me awake. He said we had to leave while it was still dark, so off we went. This time I was sure I didn't say anything to morph. We left the valley and flew over a great grassland that soon gave way to desert. We caught our first glimpse of soldiers a little over an hour into our voyage. They had no reason to suspect some birds, so we flew without bothering to hide. I slowly entered a trance-like state as we flew over the desert.

I was snapped back to reality when I felt a searing pain in my left wing. Some soldiers were hunting for dinner, and they shot me. The pain was very distracting as I spiraled downward, and a felt myself become normal. I hit the ground just as I fully morphed and heard the soldiers coming to get their meal. I was too weak to move when they appeared.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here," they said, "Come to steal our food have you?"

I looked at myself, and saw there was no blood, only pain.

"Are you deaf!" they yelled, "What are you doing here?"

I couldn't think of anything to say, and they just took me hostage.

"Already stole our food," I head one soldier say, "I think we should kill him."

"Wait," the other soldier said, "We should test him for magical aptitude first. King's rules."

"Oh all right, but hurry up."

The soldiers set me on the ground and but a weird black rock on my chest. The rock slowly turned bright white.

"Wow!" the first soldier said, "He has more aptitude than most."

"Well then let's take him to the academy. Maybe we'll get a good size reward this time."

They drugged me, and marched me back to their horses. I tried to become an insect, but the words wouldn't come. We spent many days getting there when it would've taken me a few hours. When we finally reached the academy. They took me to one of the trainers.

"We found this guy stealing a bird we shot down," they stated, "We tested him and found a surprising aptitude."

"You idiots," the trainer yelled, "He didn't steal your food, he was your food. He has been trained already. I can sense two elements in him right know. Take him to the quarters and we'll find out who trained him."

They marched me down to the quarters, that looked more like a prison, and put me in my own little cell. I had gotten my wits about me a bit more and tried again to morph out of their grasp. I felt the works coming to turn into a mosquito, but when I spoke them a torch over to the side flickered. I got the words coming, but not the right ones. Luckily the guards didn't notice, and just threw me into my cell. They also threw some food in.

I didn't eat right away and instead focused on the words. The right ones still wouldn't come and I was very hungry. I ate a bit of the disgusting slop, and then the words slipped away! They had drugged the food. I vowed not to eat until I could leave, but it was too late. Someone was coming for me. They took me out of my cell and down to a interrogation room.

"We know someone trained you," the man barked, "If you will just tell us who, then we will train you even more. You will learn the other magics that you haven't been taught yet. You will also get a familiar to be your pet."

That's when I remembered Nova could still save me. I didn't have access to the words yet, but I could always call him. I focused on Nova and imagined him appearing. A small blaze started in the corner and Nova appeared.

"You already have a familiar I see.  Well, we can still teach y—"

He was cut off by Nova swooping at his head. Nova's talons raked across his skull, and he started bleeding. We rushed out the door and into a hallway. We reached a fork. There were a couple soldiers blocking the way to free the wizards, but the way to the door was clear. I looked left. I looked right. I couldn't decide. Another soldier started rushing at me from behind. I had to choose...

The Accident Gone Wrong

Nicole ran to the hospital door with sadness in her eyes, and pushed open the door. When she opened the door, all she saw was Cathryn lying in a hospital bed. Her eyes started to water.

Then Nicole ran to the bed her friend was sitting in, and asked if Cathryn was okay.
All Cathryn said was, "Who are you?"

Nicole was thinking Why does she not know who I am? Then Nicole asked the nurse what had happened, and why did she not remember her. All the nurse said was that she was in a car accident and she had amnesia. Then at that moment, she started to cry.
"Will she remember me?" Nicole asked.
"I don't know if she is going to remember you or not."

Nicole ran out of the hospital and to her car. Opening her car door, out of the corner of her eye she saw a car swerving out of control. To her surprise, she saw David's face peer in the rear veiw mirror. His motives were clear as day. A broken heart can cause twisted thoughts.
